One Down... Nine To Go!

Well the first week of school is officially down and I began the second week today :) I am enjoying it here so much!

My roommate, Gloria, is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met and we have a lot in common. On Saturday night we had a little celebration for the first week of school so I broke out the sirloin and potatoes. We grilled and then watched Emporer's New Groove (which also happens to be one of her favorites) I am just praising God that we made a good connection and aren't having any difficulties!!

As far as church, I have found one that I really like and I plan to get involved with a life group this week. So I guess a prayer request for me would be that God would bring some good believers into my life that I can build relationships with. I have been meeting some fun people in my classes, but I know they are not Christians so I still need that Christian fellowship.

Anyways, In short, I just praise God that everything has been so enjoyable so far. He really has blessed me with everything that I have here and I am so thankful!!
Thank you everyone who has been praying for me and my family through this whole process! I could definitely tell that people have been praying behind the scenes!

Are We There Yet?

Well it has been a pretty long week but things are finally coming together :) We took a few detours on the way, but we made it to Savannah!

Though I am almost settled into the apartment, I have been staying with my family in Hilton Head Island which is about an hour from Savannah. The ocean is the most magnificent thing I have ever seen! This morning we woke at 6 o'clock to watch the sun rise over the water... Seeing something that incredible makes me wonder how anyone could believe that it happened by mere chance.

In Francis Chan's book "Crazy Love" He says, "If my mind is the size of a soda can and God is the size of all the oceans, It would be stupid for me to say He is only the small amount of water I can scoop into my little can. God is so much bigger, so far beyond our time-encased, air/food/sleep dependent lives."
Spending time by the ocean has caused me to realize so much more of how indescribable God truly is, but yet all the I know about His magnificence only fits in my little can. Think of how much bigger just ONE ocean is compared to that bitty little can.

And So It Begins...

Hi!
I realize its been a LONG while since I have written anything, but thats because until now I haven't had anything to write about.
Me and my family bigin our trip to Georgia tomorrow and I can't wait to finally get going! There is a big mountain of stuff in our living room at present so our next task is to get that all into the vehicle :)
Anyways... I hope to keep posting as things progress and get more exciting.
Until then, I better get back to packing...
